What services or resources does your Grants/Contracts provide?
Most of our Pre and Post award work is supporting internal CTSI grants and contracts. However, we do also host the Peer Grant review program, which is held 3x/year coinciding with the NIH standard deadlines.
What are your responsibilities within the Grants/Contracts?
Management of our pilot programs from beginning to end. Pre and Post award support for CTSI grants and contracts.
What is one of the most interesting research projects your Grants/Contracts has supported?
Due to the devastating toll Covid-19 placed on our healthcare system it was a pleasure to help teams pre/post award with projects that help provide basic medical care to those in rural areas. The University serves multiple states surrounding it and the western coast of the US.
What is your proudest accomplishment as part of the CTSI team?
There is a lot to brag about here, the CTSI is a large collective of people moving pieces along and we kept our heads above water during a pandemic for over 2 years, from home! We are thriving and growing, which gives due applause to leadership and everyone who wore so many hats while stuck at home. I was hired during the pandemic and jumped into the deep end of my new role. Also being new the Univ, it was a large and deep pool. I’m grateful to and for my team, their kindness, support and for the support leadership promotes to be present with family, live a work-life balance and I’m proudest to be a part of this team.
What is one of your favorite things about working for Grants/Contracts and the CTSI?
We are encouraged to hear one another, lean in and revamp our processes to achieve better and brighter.
