The Utah Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) Workforce Development Foundation is hosting their 3rd Annual Translational Research Trainee Symposium on Thursday, November 11th, 2021. This full-day retreat, held at the Alumni Hall in the HSEB building, will bring together junior and senior faculty; the Utah CTSI NIH NCATS Program Officer; trainees and faculty from the following programs:
- Master of Science in Clinical Investigation (MSCI)
- Mentored Career Development KL2 Scholar Program
- Spheres of Translational Across the Research Spectrum (STARS) TL1 Program
- MD-PhD Program
- Vice President’s Clinical and Translational (VPCAT) Research Scholars
Platform presentations will be presented by nominated CTSI trainees across all programs. A poster session will highlight trainee research accomplishments. The symposium will conclude with the keynote lecture TBD. Overall, this symposium will provide multiple opportunities for networking.
Who is Required to Attend?
All CTSI trainees are required attend all day and present either a poster or talk.
Poster Session Information
Trainees who are not presenting orally are required to present a poster showcasing their research. This year all posters will be presented digitally either at the podium or virtually. Each Poster presenter will have 2 minutes to highlight their research impact. Poster pdf files should be sent to Ruben Rocha by November 5th
CTSI will reach out to coordinate this with trainees (i.e., authors, titles, timeslot)
Oral Presentations Information
Selected trainees will have the opportunity to share their research in a platform presentation. Trainees are allotted 12 minutes for their presentations and 3 minutes for questions. PowerPoint presentations should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org by November 5th, 2021
