Translational Research in Progress
When: Third Wednesday of each month
Time: 4:30pm to 5:30pm
Where: Health Sciences Education Building (HSEB), Room 5100B
MSCI Translational Research in Progress (TRIP) is targeted primarily toward the needs of trainees in the Utah Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) training and career development programs, i.e. MS in Clinical Investigation, KL2, and TL1. All clinical and translational researchers from throughout the Utah CTSI partner institutions, both trainees and more senior researchers, are encouraged to participate as audience members and presenters.
SCOPE
Two presenters will be scheduled for each one-hour RIP. Presenters should plan for a 20-25 min. presentation, with 5- 10 min. feedback/discussion.
Presenters do not have to have results or completed research to present. Presentations about methods development or ongoing research are encouraged.
GOALS
Presenters and attendees will improve their skills in communicating about research.
Presenters will receive feedback on research methods, interpretation, and future research directions from a multidisciplinary audience.
