Study Collaboration and Opportunities Team
The Utah CTSI had the privilege of talking to Emily Campbell from the Study Collaboration and Opportunities Team (SCOT). We thank her for taking the time to answer our questions about her work with SCOT and what they can do for your research.
I manage clinical trial intake both with central organization and improved startup. I collaborate closely with principal investigators, departmental research contacts, sponsors, and network affiliates to connect local PIs with industry-sponsored trials, network collaborative opportunities, and provide resources for investigator-initiated studies.
This includes:
- Trial Matching – Site identification for trial opportunities for all researchers, affiliates, and sponsors looking to collaborate, with the goal of prompt and efficient communications with equal opportunities for all.
- CTSI Design Studios – 90-minute consultations providing expert recommendations for developing or optimizing your research project, or grant application.
- Trial Innovation Network – Multicenter trial support leveraging the national CTSA network, taking advantage of established infrastructure providing expert methodological and logistical guidance.
- Local and Network Tools & Resources – Including downloadable toolkits and templates (i.e. Recruitment and Retention Plan Template, Study Website Toolkit, etc.)
We would love to discuss your idea or project to assess which expert services and resources will best support your proposal. Whether you are looking for clinical research resources, collaborations with partner sites, or access to clinical trial opportunities, we would love to talk with you.
