ESI Workshop

On September 20th, 2018, we are holding a full day, intensive mentoring session in which ESIs learn how to access and design hypertension-related analyses using the Jackson Heart Study (JHS) data and write clear manuscript proposals. Senior JHS investigators will provide one-on-one feedback, and facilitate group discussions to enable ESIs to use and access the JHS.

Participants in the ESI workshop will learn:

  • The manuscript proposal process
  • Data access
  • BP-related research methods for the Jackson Heart Study

Applications for the ESI Workshop and Travel Award are due Friday, August 3rd and awardees will be notified by August 10th. The award covers actual travel costs up to $1,500.

Registration for the ESI workshop is capped to maximize interpersonal interaction and optimize didactic learning, interpersonal interaction, and the senior mentor-ESI dyad.

We look forward to hosting everyone again this year.
