Call for Abstracts Due January 17, 2017

12^th Annual Health Services Research Conference

Save the Date– March 13, 2017

You are cordially invited to submit an abstract for our upcoming annual conference on March 13, 2017.  Please share this Save the Date and Call for Abstracts with anyone who might be interested. We look forward to seeing you on Monday March 13^th, 2017.

The conference theme this year is patient activation.  According to Judith Hibbard, patient activation emphasizes patients’ willingness and ability to take independent actions to manage their health and care.  In some cases, informal caregivers (family, friends) share in these actions.   Example interventions may include goal setting, self-management, and shared decision making among other things.

We invite you to showcase your research to be considered for poster or oral presentation. Abstracts reporting results of studies that address patient activation in the design, delivery, and/or discovery process of wellness and healthcare are encouraged.  The conference is an important opportunity to bring together researchers, clinicians, and community members for shared learning, networking, and collaboration.
