The 2016 Academic Pediatric Association (APA) Miller Sarkin Mentoring Award was presented to Paul Young, professor of pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Dr. Young has had many educational leadership roles throughout his career including General Pediatrics Clinical Research Fellowship Director and Director of the Division of General Pediatrics. He has served as a mentor for over 30 pediatrics faculty at Utah and is now a senior mentor in the Vice President’s Clinical and Translational Research Scholar program. His style of mentoring has been extremely successful locally, regionally and nationally.
