Fall Implementation Science Boot Camp
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the University of Utah's Implementation Science Boot Camp, hosted by the Master of Science in Clinical Investigation (MSCI) Program and led by JD Smith, PhD on October 23–24, 2026, at the Homestead Resort in Midway, Utah.
This immersive 1.5-day boot camp is designed for researchers, clinicians, healthcare professionals, and trainees interested in learning how to translate evidence-based interventions into real-world practice. Through a combination of expert-led instruction and interactive workshops, participants will gain practical skills in dissemination and implementation science that can be applied directly to their own research and practice-based projects.
Topics include:
- Identifying implementation gaps
- Applying dissemination and implementation science frameworks
- Assessing context and engaging implementation partners
- Selecting implementation strategies
- Evaluating implementation outcomes
- Using the Implementation Research Logic Model to strengthen project planning and impact
By the end of the program, participants will have a stronger understanding of how implementation science can enhance the rigor, relevance, and real-world impact of their work across clinical and health system settings.
