Trial Innovation Network (TIN)

The Trial Innovation Network is a collaborative initiative within the CTSA Program and is composed of three key partners – the CTSA Program Hubs, the Trial Innovation Centers (TICs), and the Recruitment Innovation Center (RIC).

The Trial Innovation Network is a collaborative national network that focuses on operational innovation, operational excellence and collaboration and will leverage the expertise and resources of the CTSA Program. The Trial Innovation Network features a single IRB system, master contracting agreements, quality by design approaches, and a focus on evidence-based strategies to recruitment and patient engagement.  The goal of the Trial Innovation Network is to not only execute trials better, faster, and more cost-efficiently but to be a national laboratory to study, understand and innovate the process of conducting clinical trials.

Master Clinical Trial Agreements with Industry Sponsors

Why a Master Agreement?

When University of Utah researchers frequently work with a specific industry sponsor, the use of a Master Clinical Trial Agreement (MCTA) is a crucial component in getting multiple studies up and running as quickly and easily as possible.

Who negotiates for the UU?

The Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) negotiates all MCTA’s for the University of Utah.

What sponsors currently have a Master Agreement?

Please contact ClinicalResearchOffice@utah.edu to see if a sponsor has an active Master Agreement with the University of Utah.

Are you a sponsor interested in sharing new clinical trials or negotiating a Master Agreement? We would love to help!
