Continuous Improvement, Tracking, and Evaluation
The Continuous Improvement, Tracking, and Evaluation (CITE) team of the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) works to provide measurements of program performance and outcomes both internally within the CTSI and its cores as well as on campus as a service. An evidence based continuous improvement approach is used in pursuit of high-quality evaluation of clinical and translational science activities. Collecting the key outcome metrics and qualitative evaluation activities that fall under National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences’ (NCATS) Common Metrics initiative are also managed by CITE. CTSI's CITE uses the software platforms supported by the CTSI Biomedical Informatics Core (BMIC) to create innovative programmatic tracking and evaluation solutions. In addition providing local support, the CITE team collaborates with a multitude of other CTSA hubs including Vanderbilt, Tufts Medical Center, Washington University, and the MAYO Clinic to improve the research and implementation of translational science at a national level.
